Removing Labels on Exterior

Need to remove labels on exterior right of entry door? Not sure what to use and don't want to make it worse. Anyone found something that works and want harm finish? I did a spot test in a remote place with goof off, seem to harm finish?

Why do you want to remove the labels?

I replaced 3/4 of the decals on my TT a few years ago. First I used a heat gun to heat them up and slowly pealed them off. Goof off worked OK to remove the residual glue but I ended up using acetone VERY carefully to remove the glue. I then used Meguiar's Flagship Premium Cleaner/ Wax to restore the shine to the gelcoat. To apply the new decals in the right places I used blue painters tape as reference points. It was quite the job but I sold the 8year old TT for $14,900 after paying $19,000 for it new. It was worth the effort.

This is another option. Whatever brand you look at, be sure it's ok for painted surfaces. Some are only recommended for glass, and chrome bumpers.

When the dealer prep the trailer, they tried to remove a label by door that said something about trailer is solar prep. They just tore the label off leaving the glue and backIng. Looks like crap.

Try the Goo-Gone. It's not as harsh as Goof-Off.

This is what the pros use, https://www.amazon.com/designed-adhe...+decal+remover. Its by far the easiest way to remove decals without damage.

IF you are not familiar using an eraser wheel, please be very careful. I would also recommend staying with a name brand. I use wheels made by Wurth Corp. but 3M makes good products also. I would stay away from "bargain" brands as they can burn the surface much easier. This is just my opinion but I speak from some experience.
