Replacement Mattress

After spending over a month sleeping on what I would guess is the original mattress in our 2004 Granite Ridge my DW and I have decided that we need a new mattress.
For replacement mattresses I find several makers on Amazon all rated highly. The brands they offer for short queens are: Sleep Master, Serenia, Dynasty, Lucid, Perfect Cloud, Dream Foam, ...
Does anyone have experience with any of these in a positive or negative way?

We ordered a Dynasty 10" memory foam mattress (from Amazon) for our previous coach and loved it. We'd have one in the current coach if it wasn't for the fact that the bed is on a slide and slips under the closet when the slide is closed. Only 8" max clearance there

Thanks for the review. A mattress is difficult to select when you can't try it out.

Our trailer came with the Denver pillow top mattress that Jayco dealer bragged about to us how great it was,2nd night camping I went on Amazon and ordered the Dream Foam mattress and had it delivered to campground,it is nice and comfortable,Im 6"3 and 240lbs so I needed a descent mattress and this one holds up to me very good, except for the length but I cant do anything about that

Whatever was supplied on our 2012 X213 ( bought used ). Not much of a mattress. Put 4" of memory foam on top of the old mattress. It's Heaven.

I agree! Note - they have a great price right now with their anniversary sale.
I am nothing but a very satisfied customer and have no association with Camping World or Sleep Number Beds.

We put a three inch memory foam topper on our new mattress in our 2012 Jayco HT 26.5 RLS and have enjoyed sleeping on it for three seasons now.

We bought the standard Sleep Number from Sleep Number instead of the RV model. As far as I know they are identical except for the rounded corners and the price. The standard one fits perfectly in our Eagle and cost considerably less then the RV model. We are very happy with our choice. You need to adjust the mattress according to your elevation when you are traveling.

Do either of you have more information on the memory foam you bought, specifically where you bought it and what size it was? We have an x23b and need to do something about the mattress situation before camping season starts again. Thanks!

We put a 3" gel memory foam on our Denver mattress 2 seasons ago and still love it! Such a great nights sleep so we put one on our home bed last year too. Bought them at Costco and Walmart.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

We got one at Sam's Club. That was a 3" we put on top the sleep number mattress in our house. My wife ordered the 4" off Amazon. Be sure you get all memory foam. Wal Mart was selling some that were advertised as memory foam, but were a layer of memory foam, and a layer of regular old foam. Also, get the gel foam memory foam. It breathes.

Both ours are kings. Fits perfect on the house bed. The bed in the X213 is also a king. But maybe rv kings are a tad shorter than a regular king. Side to side, the fit was great in the rv. However the memory foam hung over the end a couple inches. It cut pretty easy with good scissors. Edge was a little choppy looking. But who's ever gonna see it?

I have a pinched nerve in my lower back and definitely didn't like my Denver mattress that came in my camper. We just bought a Lucid 10" memory foam Queen mattress off Amazon and have slept on it since Wednesday night. It is more firm than my memory foam at home, but it is very supportive and I wake up refreshed in the morning. No back pain, no popping and cracking in the morning when I wake up, I'm not stiff and sore. I LOVE my Lucid and highly recommend it.

I'm not sure how it would last in the long term, but we only sleep in it about 40-50 times a year... I figure it was worth $250!

We have a queen select comfort Sleep Number mattress in our 5th wheel and we love it! Sad thing is we are trading the rig in for a new Seneca and that mattress is is a king. We'll try the mattress in the new rig and if the wife has a problem sleeping, we'll be ordering another sleep number mattress. One word of caution, when you drive from lower elevation to a higher elevation, let air out of the mattress it will expand!!

A word of caution on replacing the mattress in the Seneca - all floor plans except the HJ have the end of the bed sliding under the closet on the opposite wall. There is only 8" of clearance there which really limits the options. Make sure you keep that in mind if you end up replacing.

Others have been able to make the sleep number mattresses work by letting the air out before bringing the slide in. We haven't replaced ours yet but probably will.
