Replacing skylight after hail

I have to replace both my skylights after some hail cracked both. I got new poly skylights from Icon. My question is what to use on my roof to clean off the sealant that was used on the old skylight?

You're probably going to have to use Acetone.
That's what I use to clean Dicor before servicing.

I used a heat gun and a plastic scrapper to remove the vent from mine. It doesn't take a lot of heat for it to release. Be careful with the heat gun because you'll start to melt the rubber roof if it gets too hot.

Thanks. Was planning on using a hair dryer as it is less likely to melt the roof

I replaced the dome over shower last year on the old camper. The hair dryer is your friend. I tried with a scraper at first but that didn't go so well. I would suspect that a heat gun may be too powerful and the hair dryer got the job done without any issues. Just take your time and you will be fine. On a side note, when I go on the roof, I take my shoes off just to be on the safe side. Good luck.
