Well, we have now returned from our last trip of the season to Shenandoah Valley CG near Verona, VA. They had a Halloween theme, complete with site decorating contest, individual costume contest, a pet costume contest, a pig roast, hay ride, lots of music, and of course trick or treating for the kids. We had a blast, and wished we could have stayed longer. But the one thing that really surprised us was that there were Jaycos EVERYWHERE. More Jaycos than I have ever seen in one place, including dealers. I counted 28 of them, and 8 were surrounding our site. There was even another 2004 Designer 5er two sites away. And to sweeten the deal, 7 out of the 8 were pulled by Ford trucks. The lone Chevy looked kind of lost, but he took his ribbing with style. Jayco models included flights, feathers, eagles, designers, starcrafts - just about all types were represented except pinnacles. Didn't get to chat with anywhere near all the Jaycos, but encouraged the ones I did talk with to join the JOF. One had seen the site several years ago, but never joined. Hopefully we will get some new members from these campers. It's really sad to end the season, but it was a great ending. Now for the winterizing . . . . .
