Looking at new trailers today in the Appleton Wisconsin area. Anyone have a favorite dealer around the Fox Valley area?

Looks like you are in Wausau so a trip to GB should work either on the way down to the FRV or returning via 41.

Check out VanBoxtel RV in GB.

Shoeders in Rhinelander. Not a lot of inventory but they beat any price I found on the internet when we purchased our Pinnacle. Very good service on warranty work and the good service continues after warranty is off of our unit.

I got a great deal at Wagner's RV in Suamico (just north of Green Bay...GO PACK GO..oops, sorry I got side tracked)...but ZERO customer service after the purchase....not even a follow up phone call! One of my pet peeves....drop a ton of cash on something and after you leave you become out of sight, out of mind.

The only dealership I've dealt with in WI was Burlington RV, and that's quite a drive from Appleton.

I think we decided on a 2014 White Hawk 28DSBH. It's bit longer than I wanted to tow vs. our old JayFeather x213...but the wife is in love with it. We found one Saturday for $19,995.00 + tax/title which I thought was pretty good. That's what I've seen the smaller 23MBH going for. I don't know how long that price will last and unfortunately we aren't in the position to buy it until February or March. Hope it last until then or they'll order us one for the same price.
RV DIRECT sent me a price quote this morning for $22,500 and I'd have to go pick it up in Iowa!! Yikes!!

Glad you found something you both like.

Where did you find it?

We did stop at Wagners Saturday too. They didn't have anything we were interested in and kinda talked in circles when it came to price matching a 28DSBH. We looked at a 23MBH at Shoeders last time we were there unloading our x213. They ran us off the lot 15 minutes before closing time because he said they had to close the gates. Told us to come back the next day...even though he knew we live 80 miles away. Plus they were $1,000 more than 3 other dealers on that 23MBH and when I brought that to Pete's (sales guy) attention....he said they'd see what they could do. Then he told me it's because they order their units with the larger air conditioner. I must look stupid. Then he told me to email him the other price quotes I had, which I did. His response was "give me the chance before u buy". I thought to myself...um, that was your chance.

Sounds like an excellent deal and for our family the floor plan works the best at providing the most space with the most amount of comfortable sleeping space.

Yeah, it seems like a popular model with a lot of people. Good to hear you like yours!

I would think about offering the dealer a deposit to hold it until spring.

Last February we were talking to our dealer Northern RV near Iron Mountain, MI right after placing our order for a new Eagle TT. He told us about a gal who had recently walked in to get a price on a new trailer. She told the dealer what she was looking for and what she wanted on it and he gave her a price. FWIU, she then said 'sold' and plopped down cash on the desk.

They continued to talk and as it turned, her brother owns at least 2 RV dealers in NE Wisconsin, and sells Jayco. ( I didn't catch which dealerships they were.) But apparently the price she got from Northern RV was better than what she got from her own brother.

FWIW, Back in 2004 when I was shopping for our previous trailer, I stopped at Wagner's, and another Jayco dealer just NW of the big mall in Grand Chute (Appleton) WI. Northern RV had both beat at least $500. Since Northern is also our closest dealer, it was a no brainer. When the time came last February to start looking at ordering a new TT, we didn't even bother with looking at the other dealers and went straight to Northern RV.

I did get a price from Northern RV on a 23MBH. Maybe I'll give them a shot at this 28DSBH. But they are about 3 hours away from me. That's a down side.

Talk to Paul & tell him Kent sent you.

FWIW, their website shows they have a new 2013 WhiteHawk 28DSBH in stock.
