Safe-T-Alert 35 Series Flush Mount Dual LP & Carbon Monoxide Alarm Current Draw

Does anyone know why they have increased the current draw over the years. The model that was in my camper had an 82mA draw and the new one I ordered from Camping World has a 108mA draw.

I have replaced a few over the years and can honestly say I have never compared the current draw but it will draw the battery down in less than a week.

Typically speaking as time goes by, electronics use less electricity. This is one of the rare times a manufacture is going in the wrong direction. I would get something else, but there is a hole in the cabinet as you walk in the door already shaped for this unit. I would have to get a very large one and cut out the hole, and I really don't want to do that.
