Question SeaEagle 370 Inflatable Kayak Advice

I am looking for a way to get out on the water while camping. I have thought about hard shell kayaks, but because there are 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) I would have to get 2 of the big ones for the kids growth over time. Same with a canoe, I would have to have a big one. I thought about putting a rack on the truck high enough for the bikes to fit underneath, but that would mean removing the roll up cover rails which I do not really want to do. This leads me to my real question. Anyone have experience with the Sea Eagle 370 inflatable kayaks? They are relatively cheap and folded up would store nicely in the camper it appears. Please let me know if you have any advice for me. Thank you.

we have the 330s and love them. we got the better seats with ours as an option and they are worth it. they went under our couch in our old trailer and in this one they go under the bed. pretty easy to pump up, a bit more of a pain to get all the air out and clean up though.
they track fairly well(compared to hard sided) and are reasonably efficient to paddle also. we always keep them in the camper so have them whenever the mood strikes. we would definitely buy them again.

We have the 370 and we LOVE it. We've had our dog, and the kids out on it.

max2bob, do you store yours in your camper? We've typically kept ours in our garage, but now that we've upgraded from a tiny 16.5' to a 29SQB, I have tons of storage space so I'd like to keep it in the camper. I'm just curious if the heat will hurt the material.

Thank you both for the replies. How long have you had them? Any idea how long they last? I had the same question about storing them in the camper. I live in central Florida so I wondered if is best to store in the garage out of the heat or the camper.

We've had our 370 for 4 years. Now admittedly we haven't used it a whole lot, but it still looks and feels like it did when I unboxed it 4 years ago.

So I did some searching and other PVC inflatable boats recommend -40C to 70/80C.

Now I stored a 9 year old inflatable boat tube in our 16.5' camper for a whole summer, and the PVC tube held up fine, so I may just store it in the camper and hope for the best.

we remove the kayaks for the winter but for the summer they stay in there. we have had them since 08 and still holding up very well. we try to take good care of them and clean and dry them out after a trip. the bags are nice that they come in and everything fits inside. I just use the paddles they came with but the wife likes her "real" kayak paddles better.

My Wife has one(330). She loves it as does our camping companion Abby. We leave it in the HTT during camping season but take it out of the trailer and store it inside for Winter. No Use subjecting it to extreme weather if you don't have to.

I was skeptical at first about an inflatable but these things are really well made with a thick durable material. DW did not upgrade the seats. She likes the fact it's fairly easy to setup and put away. I like it because I don't have to find a way to carry it when travelling.

I have a friend who has one and has hauled it all over the country in his rv and used it often. He says that he has had no problems with it.

Yep, Mom can't go anywhere without her shadow Abby following along. Abby needs a little help getting into the kayak but once in she gets herself comfy. I was worried about her nails digging into the material but as I mentioned above, it's pretty durable.

I've had mine for over 10 years now, no make that about 14 years now and it still is in great shape. It's been in Washington State, Oregon and California rivers. Never a leak but I've had to fix the bellowes because I've had to blow it up 50 times +. Took the dog with us many times and never put a hole in it. I would buy another one if I had to.

I wanted to thank everyone again for the comments. I purchased 2 - 370s and used them 4 times at Silver Springs SP in Florida while on a 5 day camping trip. I cannot speak to the durability yet, but they worked great for our purposes. The kids loved them and if they last I will be very happy with them.
