I was taught at a very early age that a person's campsite is their temporary home. We were required to ask permission to enter any campsite, even those of people we knew very closely. You would never walk through a stranger's home uninvited would you? Or at least expect to leave with the same number of holes you entered with. So why is it okay to walk through their "temporary living room"?

A more positive anecdote: DW and I were tent camping with the outlaws (they were in their Class C) and DW locked her keys in her car. We were all geared up to leave the car in place while we drove the Class C 3 hours home to get the spare key and come back in another vehicle to pick up DW's car. We just so happened to notice a car in a campsite down the road that had "Pop-a-Lock" banner magnets on the doors (I know, lucky ducks, right?!). We waited for the campers to awaken and get into their morning routine before we walked over and asked if they might help us. The girl very politely and without acting put-out at all said "sure" and got out her gear and unlocked the truck for us. She absolutely wouldn't take anything from us for her trouble, even the $100 bill my FIL had that we were all trying desperately to give her. There were 4 hands full of cash waving in her direction. She wouldn't have any of it. She simply said "it's no problem", wished us well and went on about her weekend. I will never forget that young lady and how she helped us out, and I continually try to pay it forward as best I can.

I think people walikng thru your campsite depends a lot where you are parked. If you're parked next or close to the bath house, forget about it.

We have been camping for years and it is rare to find people rudely playing music after 9 or 10 pm. It seems to me that the RV community is more considerate than the general population.

I agree with msturz. Most RV'rs are very considerate but every once in a while… I find the worst times to camp are holiday weekends so we generally don't go then.

I agree. It has been my experience that the noise problem is mostly at State and local campgrounds on weekends where the "locals" come out to out-do each other in the drinking olympics

Came over and said hi, invited us to cornhole

I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that. You sure don't ask strangers that question where I come from. Actually, you don't ask people you know either.
