It's your RV and your map. Do what ever you want to do with them. And if anyone doesn't like it, tell them to build a bridge and get over it.

Our rule (a.k.a. DW's rule) is that we can only put a state on the map when we've camped at least 1 night in that state. Just passing through the state doesn't count.

We've kept all the states on our map that we've camped in with any of our trailers, previous (3 - pups & 3 - TT) and our new 5vr. I've put our map on a sheet of Plexiglas so I've moved it from trailer to trailer when we've purchased a new one.

So our approach is we want to show all the states we've been to over our whole camping life (not just the states the current trailer has been). We use our map as a so-called memory lane.

This has got to be the best post yet Although I don't like decals etc., other than the ones that are the RV when new. I like your reasons for having the map.

I liked it the you put DW rule. I among others like to think we wear the pants in the family But will be the first to admit that she carries the belt that holds them up.

My last TT (purchased after the original owner loved it for 25 years) had a solid block of stickers between the taillights. I left them, along with some religious icons and a hair scrunchie on the bathroom doorknob. Those were part of the trailer's history.

-----

I'll side with you, a 'where we've been' map that is part of and RV should support the users of the RV. You've been through 1 RV already (plus tent camping, hiking, hotel(s?). The map is yours, not the vehicle you happen to own now. What are you going to do, start fresh when you get a 5th wheel or motorhome?

Label it with all the places you camped, regardless of tent/PU/TT. Tell your story!

I've been thinking about getting one to put on Plexiglas for the same reason. We haven't started one yet, but want to. How and where do you then mount the Plexiglas? I was kinda thinking about on the inside of a window, but hadn't figured that out yet.

Two came in today, after speaking with them, they both put stickers on places they have camped, regardless of which RV they used.

I would like to hear all about that trip. That's a trip DW and I want to take in the next couple years.

I think the map on the trailer should signify all the places you have camped - in any capacity - tent, current trailer, previous trailer(s). It is really there to let people know where you have camped.

I don't have one on my trailer, but the one in my signature, below, shows all the places I have camped, according to the criteria above. That's been in a tent, two pop-ups, my previous Outback TT, and now my Jayco.

(There's a few small states on the east coast I just passed through, so they are blank. But hard to tell in an image that small.)

But to each, their own!

Just my opinion.
