Shelve slides, please HELP
Anybody have any suggestions on a easy fix on installing some type of pantry slides so everything does get lost in the cabinets. I pickup a New camper today and when I was emptying my old camper I realized I need to do something to help with getting our cabinets a little bit better orginized.

In our trailer, we got a few plastic insert-trays to divide the drawers into sections. For the cupboards, we placed some of that rubber no-slip sheeting, to keep the dishes stable when travelling. Also, got a couple plastic coated metal racks to stack up another layer of dishes. Also, some plastic bins with lids for the bigger storage areas.

I went shopping for pantry slide shelves today, went to Lowes,Marvins, they are proud of them. I am going to build something on my own. I have 12in wide X 30 in deep pantry cabinets. Lots of storage but everything in back will get lost. Got to do something.

Yddad, we have a carpenter comming to look at out cabinets next week. The pantry by the refirgerator is 3 ft deep and things do get lost.
Congratulations on the new trailer. That is a great floor plan.

Pantry Storage
I have a deep pantry in my Jayco Jayflight 25RKS. I have bins that I put can goods and such in. I store bottles in back of the bins so nothing falls down. I pull the bins out when I want something. I think I got them at Target or Wal Mart.

I did build Four slide out shelves last weekend. I invested about $160 in wood and slide brackets. The brackets where $20 a set and these are the 100 pound brackets with ball bearings instead of rollers. They turned out good, according to my Wife, but it was a fairly lengthy project, but I'm not a carpenter though. If you got time I would recommend installing some.

Yddad did you get the heavy brackets that slide out all the way? That is what we are getting.
We are also getting a shelf made for the bedroom cabinet where the television goes. We don't want a tv there so the door hinges will get changed to the other side so it is easier to get into.
I am going to make two shelves for the outside storage behind the refrigerator. The area is tall and shelves will allow me to use all of it.
The area under the bed is Sallies so I am going to put a piece of plywood to keep her stuff seperate from mine. It seems that inside areas are hers and I get the outside storage.

Yes I did use the heavy duty brackets. More pricey but I figured it would be better in the long run. I also put a piece of wood and a piece of carpet under the bed but We are keeping about 1/4th for outside storage. I used the tv bracket and cabinet that came with the camper but I did install a tilt mount on top of it to be able to turn it down some. I am using the refrig storage area to store my Lawn chairs , alum table and Patio carpet, also planning to hang TV cable On hooks in this area. I also installed a 3rd set of manual jacks in front of the tires to help stop wobble ,I did the same thing to my last camper and seemed to help. I'm sorry about pictures but I'm new to this site and I'm not quite sure how to post them.

Thanks for the idea of hooks in the area behind the stove. We just lay the extra table down in the bed of the truck. I am planning on making two shelves for that area to better utilize it for our needs. I am getting anxious to see what my cabinet maker friend comes up with. The down side is that I have to wait for him to get the time to do the job.

Another thing to consider, 4 outside porch lights mounted under camper to the frame, no more carrying flashlight when setting up after dark. I finished that project today, mounted 2 porch lights on each side of frame for a total of 4 and 2 led lights in front storage compartment. I put a switch in storage compartment for porch lights and also two three way switchs so I can cut on or off compartment lights no matter which side of compartment I open.

Tafische should be posting a tutorial in the HOW TO: Post Pic's in the 'Site Questions/Problems/Suggestions' forum soon. When you get the pic thing figured out, start a new thread on your mod's in the MOD's Forum. Look forward to seeing them all
