We have cloth in the dinette, but I've yet to see many people do what we do. Maybe I just don't know enough people. Flip the bottom cushions over, and there's your easy to clean vinyl. We keep the bottom cushions flipped most of the time due to 3 young kids. If I had fabric up there, I'd have had to replace the dinette cushions after 6 months. Page 16 of my mod thread shows the cushions flipped.

As for the couch, can't win there. We both prefer leather or pleather for cleaning, but the cloth is kind of comfortable. The home we sold didn't have cloth anything. Just too hard to keep clean.
