Shower clog

I was at a full hook up campground this weekend and while my wife was showering the shower drain stopped draining. I had the grey tank open so the water should have went straight out of the tank. About an hour later it just went down.

What would cause a drain in a camper to clog? What can I use to resolve it? It felt like there was something about 3-4" down that was solid. I have no schematic for the plumbing.

Hard to say, We have a continuing problem of the shower getting stopped up with hair. I goes thru the strainer and hangs up on the cross bars below it. Removing the drain strainer with a small screwdriver and helping the hair was go down usually clears it.

I guess some day soon that problem will no longer plague us! LOL

We've got something like this

LDR 501 3400 Plastic Drain Protector - Bathroom Sink And Tub Drain Strainers - Amazon.com

We bought it for less at a dollar store. Works great.

There's a possibility some soapy/greasy residue that was slowly accumulating in the tank finally let loose and plugged the outlet. It's too bad there's no way to visually check gray water tanks for crud.

I assume I should not put Drain-O down it.
