Small Hole in Fiberglass

We had a very minor run in this morning with a rain gutter and punched a small hole (less than 1/2 inch) in the fiberglass on the back of our 5th wheel. Of course, it is raining.

What can we use as a temporary seal until we can get it to a professional?

Well I hate that happened to you!

Quite honestly for a quick fix I would get some duct tape. They sell colored versions so you dont have to be so obvious. I would not leave it on too long as it gets harder to remove, but it should get you by until you get it done right.

If you have a marine dealer close they sell a small patch kit. It works great and is easy to use. I did the same thing many years ago only to the front cap. It comes in white and blends in very well.

I also have a slight hole about the size of a quarter in my fiberglass and I used a piece of duct tape to cover until I get it fixed. If they have a mobile repair place in Yuma when I get there I might have it done there.

Pipe wrap tape is more water proof and is a lot easier to remove.
