Soft spots in floor

I've noticed that I have a few soft spots in the floor of my 2007 jayco jay feather trailer. One is in the center by the heat duct, one is near the back door and one is near the front. Is this from water damage or are there just fewer studs in the floor to make the trailer lighter, like it was explained to me. Would appreciate any input. Jim

Are you able to crawl under your trailer and look?

I'm sure you can crawl underneath and think about adding cross braces under the soft spot locations. You should be able to bolt some in.

Your TT more then likely has a "belly pan" to keep out rodents and water which does not allow you a full view of the cross beams and plywood cover. As a previous AS TT owner I had that problem in front of the kitchen section. It seems that water somehow got in there and softened the plywood underlay. (rot)

If that's the case, it might be wise to (if possible) to lift up flooring and check it out.

There are several threads here on soft floors and unfortunately it is not always water but rather the way the floor is constructed and supported:
