Sizzer Jack,

Wait a minute. Are you lurking behind your own great product??

https://www.sizzerjack.com/

I bought these nut lock plates and they are fantastic! Folks out there thought that I was crazy when I told them that I could also watch the bolt unthread. But it's true! These are a set of 4 simple and high quality brackets that will ship to you for $10.

I also found that over extending the jacks beyond about half way didn't work as well. The less that the jacks are extended the better they perform. Use blocks to make up the difference. I'll also double check how tight they are the next day and find that they will typically have to be retightened probably due to compaction of the ground.

Enjoy!

Jeff

I got so tired of my existing jacks, I dropped $183 on a set of 4 new BAL jacks and installed those.

Then I got tired of the continued trailer shake side to side and front to back every time the kids turned over in their bunks. So, I dropped another $288 on the BAL Lock Arm Stabilizers.

Both products have made a huge difference!!

Those Sizzer Jack Nut Locks look awesome!! What a simple and foolproof concept!! And you can't beat the price. I am going to add a set of those to complete my stabilization overhaul.

I was trying to figure out what to do with the original set of jacks I took of the camper - I did not feel like I should try to sell them since they won't stay down for more than 2 minutes before creeping. I think I will buy a set of those lock nuts and throw them in with the jacks and I won't feel bad at all selling them. Probably would have kept the originals if I had known about these lock nuts sooner. Oh well, you know what they say about hindsight.

Happy camping!
Chris

Edit: Just ordered two sets :-)

Mine also started "unwinding" after lubing so I just put some sand in the nut/friction area and left the threads lubed. Has worked quite well. I also added 2 new stabilizers in the center from Harbor Freight and they don't loosen up.

Sizzer Jack, I just bought a set from you. What a great idea! Necessity is indeed the mother of invention. Patent pending? Good luck on your invention! I will spread the word to my fellow RV friends and family.

I do not have time to wait for rust.... I was so stupid... I put White Lithium grease on rear stabilizer screw jacks and slide gears. Now the rear stabilizers will not stay up... They unscrew as soon as I remove the jack handle. I'm going to try some brake cleaner on mine today before I go back on-the-road tomorrow.

Google 'scissor jack nut lock' and you'll find something to help.
