I pull the emergency breakaway switch key and cable....with any luck, the trailer and get-away vehicle will catch fire from the burning brakes and skidding trailer tires. If it's going to be a loss, I'd rather it be a total loss

fyi a 32 oz ball pein hammer makes quick work of many locks. I agree though that any deterrent to slow down the opportunistic thief is a good measure.

To be honest I haven't tested the breakaway switch in a closed state while the TT is connected to the TV via 7-pin. Of course my battery is always disconnected while in storage....the hope is that if a would be thief tries to connect the 7-pin the brakes will energize from the TV charging circuit.
