Storage - Mattress

Hi All - this will be our first year with a fifth wheel and trying to get organized for winter storage. We will be leaving it up at our seasonal camp site. Any suggestions for storing the mattress. Even with our previous motor home, in our driveway, we had mice issues. But at least could control it since it was at home. Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks!

If we're talking about a lot of mice potentially, I'd be concerned about more than the mattress. All I can think of is to take the mattress out and bring it home and Buy a few boxes of mouse bait. I'd probably do both. If I were to find one mouse turd on my bed I'd probably throw the bed away, but I'm a little weird when it comes to that stuff.

mice can chew through anything you put on it. None of the wise tails works.

What I do it, clean everything very well. I also crawled under my unit, and filled every tiny hole, with steel wool and marine caulk. I did the same from the inside Looked for each penetration in the floor, filled with steel wool and caulk. I have never had an issue, and our unit is kept on a farm all winter.

A friend has issues with his, we think his mice are getting in at the slide out penetrations. We are still trying to decide the best solution to remedy this entry point.

I also put, sticky traps and bait blocks around the TT. So far, no signs of mice.
