Tactical Flashlight

I am not law enforcement, but I am looking for an inexpensive tactical for camping and for my vehicle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you want a great quality flashlight that is made in the USA look at Streamlight.com I bought one of the Knucklehead lights for camping and love it. They stand behind their products, I sent an older model in due to a bad switch and they replaced it with a brand new $250.00 light.

We purchased a rechargeable LED flashlight from Walmart 4 years ago. I believe it is a Coleman. 350 lumens on low and 800 on high. It has been very reliable. It will last 4 hrs on high power and 16 hrs on low.

I bought a Prosvet LED 1200 Lumens Tactical Flashlight that puts out an incredible light. It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries + charger, and an adapter for 3 AAA batteries. You can select 5 Modes: high, middle, low, strobe, sos. It also has a white plastic dome to make it into a lamp. I'm loving this thing!

2nd vote for Streamlight. I've had a Strion for many years and is my go-to go-anywhere light. Did the LED conversion. Other lights have come and gone.

Streamlight is good, so is fenix. I wish I could find that fenix... I also like my surefire E2L. Pelican has some nice ones too. All these brands are rather expensive, I'm sure any 300 lumen, 5-6 hour battery light from any retail store will work great for in the truck.

If you care about tactical then make sure you get a metal one, there are quite a few nice lights out there for under $30

Tried many others over the years, but I keep coming back to the Mag-light. Made in America, lifetime warranty, and comes in a dozen and types sizes. Waterproof, made from military grade aluminum, and makes for a great chunk of metal for self defense.

This is their website... remember, those are retail prices, check Ebay and WalMart.

I gave bought expensive flashlights, but the ones from Costco work as well or better at a fraction of the price.
