That's awesome...glad y'all are having a great time. It's on my (not so much my wife) bucket list. We went on an Alaska cruise back in June.

Make sure you have Breakfast in the Talkeetna Roadhouse. The Sourdough Starter is from 1902 and the Pancakes are Plate sized. Really enjoyed that town when we stayed there.

Was there in 2007. Great little town. There is an airfield just outside it where you can charter a plane to take you to view Mt. McKinley. Once in a lifetime adventure. We went with two other couples and split the expense.

McKinley Scenic Flights was the charter, the plane a De Havilland Beaver built in the 1950's; in mint condition.

3 days of rain in Talkeetna headed south tomorrow. Homer, Seward, Soldotna on the radar.
Enjoyed the Roadhouse, sticky buns and a pasty. Missed the sourdough pancakes.
