Cool website. We also have twin boys in a popup. I grew up camping but my DW did not. This has been a new adventure for all of us. We are leaving for our first week long trip on Friday. I can't wait! I would love to swap stories with you.

Hey Scott--our pop-up had the same floor plan--but unfortunately wasn't a Jayco. We used to fold the dinette down and put both cribs on it! Where are you going on your first long trip? We are heading to Cape Cod and New Hampshire in a few weeks.

Our second story for the Jayco Journal is up on their website--please check it out!

We are going to Chattanooga, Tennessee on Friday. There is a lot of cool things for the kiddos to do. My DW and I have been there before but thought this would be a good trip with the kids. If they misbehave we won't miss anything we haven't already seen. If you haven't been there, I recommend a trip. Here are some of the things we are going to try to see:

Chattanooga Choo Choo Train Station
Chattanooga Choo Choo Model Railroad Museum
Ruby Falls
Rock City
Incline Railway
Chickamauga National Military Park
Lookout Mountain
Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum
Tennessee Aquarium
Tunnel Hill Heritage Center and Clisby Austin House
National Medal of Honor Museum
Southern Belle Riverboat
Creative Discovery MuseumChattanooga Zoo at Warner Park
Delta Queen
Chickamauga Reservoir

There is also Coolidge park across the river from the Aquarium with a really great carrousel. There is a free electric shuttle that travels downtown between the Choo Choo and the aquarium. and do not forget the river ducks and the river gorge explorer hyrodfoil at the aquarium and the Passage which is a Cherokee indian mosaics on the pathway from the Aquarium to the riverfront walkway. Enjoy the trip from an east TN resident just north of Chattanooga.

Where will you be staying at the Cape? I was there last with a camper about 10 yrs ago, but don't remember the campground. I just started looking into it again, as we want to make a long weekend out of it this summer.

We are staying at Atlantic Oaks for the first time. It is well reviewed and close to the National Seashore and directly connected to the Cape Cod Bike Trail. My boys were recently given their first bikes for their b-day and we just put a seat on my wife's bike for my littlest guy. We are hoping to have some fun on that bike trail.

We are very excited to see the Cape for the first time!

Thanks! We are always looking to get back up into New York State. Do you have a favorite campground in the Catskills/Hudson Valley?

Actually we just got back to camping after 8 years and have not done much camping in our area in the past. We travelled up and down the East Coast mostly when our boys were younger. Looking forward to new adventures now! Do you know of any good oceanfront campgrounds in NJ?

There are no beachfront campgrounds in NJ. However, we love Seashore Campsites in Cape May--which is a short drive to the beach.

Seashore has a great pool, a swimming lake, multiple playgrounds, and pretty much all of the amenities that you could think of.

Cape May is also a truly beautiful town. Lots to do and see and great food!
Here is a link to our last post about Cape May from last fall--there are pictures of the campground etc...

We definitely plan on going to Seashore this summer. It seems it is the first name that comes up whenever I ask about camping at the shore. We stayed at Holly Shores quite a few years ago, and after reading your reviews, it doesn't seem like it changed much.
