I was just talking to Bassdogs the other day about this. He replaced his Denver Mattress with a pillow top one from Camping World and swears by it. While our trailer is still on its way to us from the factory we did test out the Denver Mattress at the dealership, and found, it very comfortable. The only thing we plan to ad is a memory foam pad that is 2 inches thick which we had to use in our old TT since that mattress was only 3 inches thick.

The mattress on our 2011 was very comfortable for 2 years then got lumpy. We added a 3 inch memory foam topper and it really helped.

I am not familiar with the Denver mattress.

When I ordered ours I did upgrade to a pillow top mattress, within 2 weeks we had a 4 1/2 inch memory foam topper, it was a very good buy as we sleep like a rock when we go out

The new Denver Mattress

We just purchased the 3" memory foam topper from Costco. We haven't tried it yet, but have heard good things so figured to give it a try.

Re: The new Denver Mattress

We also purchased the topper from Costco but after 2-3 weeks, we returned it for a refund. I found it much too soft.

I had a similar one from Sams that was very comfortable but it didn't fit the new bed.

I've just installed this mattress and so far it seems really nice. Since it's new, I want to give it some time before I give a real opinion on it.

The Denver mattress is wrapped in plastic and stored out in our barn. We purchased the eurotop interspring mattress at C World [$450 or so] a couple years ago when we finally stepped up and replaced the POS OEM mattress in our Keystone TT. Loved it and transfered it to our new White hawk. Even spent $200 for a replacement foam mattress for the Keystone. Would have just swapped the new one to the old TT but for timing. Sold the Keystone 5 weeks before we picked up the WHawk.

They come in an 18" square x 6' box which is kind of scary and springs into shape when you cut the plastic wrap holding it in a roll. Takes a couple days to expand to full thickness. Very comfortable. So happy with it we bought one for our houseboat last year. Don't know how much toppers cost, but for my taste I'd order the one from CW. Watch their web site as they tend to have sales on the mattresses on a regular basis.

Had one in my house, in 6 months it was getting lumpy, in a year it was sagging. Call Denver Mattress - they came out and measured the sag, over an 1-1/2, so they replaced it under warrantee. A year later, same thing, but this time they refused to replace it. Said my foundation was insuficient. Tossed it in the garbage. Replaced it with a Sealy. When I picked up my rig, I told the dealer to donate the Denver Mattress to the Salvation Army or Amvets. Replaced it with a Carpenter Avina foam mattress from CW. Luckly I caught the sale, about 700 bucks. Well worth it, we sleep like new born babies. I will never, ever own another Denver Mattress!!

Wow....now you got me thinking Zinkow that I should start saving up for new mattress. Bassdogs also said he got his from CW and loves it. Are you full timing in your TT? Just wondering since my wife and I are still weekend warriors only....but getting closer to full timming everyday.

Can't say how our Denver Mattress will measure up over time, but so far ours is very comfortable.

If you are not happy with it the best and most affordable route to take is buy a 3-4" memory foam topper. Make sure the whole thing is pure memory foam. You can find cheap ones that say 3" memory foam topper but you really get 1" of MF and 2" of a soft foam. That was the first one we bought and it barely helped. A $50 lesson to why less isn't best. The MF topper probably will be too long so use an electric knife to cut it to size.

We have the Denver pillow top mattress and added a 2 in foam topper. I sleep as well, if not better than I do at home.

I can't wait for next spring to try out our Denver pillow top mattress in our 28BHBE.... First test at the dealer showed it was SOOOOOOO much better than the OEM mattress that came in our Kodiak 25QS....
