Today's Highway Adventure

Today I was towing on I-75 south bound, just a bit south of the GA-FL border. An 18 wheeler was slowly overtaking me on the left. When his cab was along side the rear of my TT, I heard a loud BANG. Right away I figured it was a tire blowout. Looked in my mirrors, checked my TT TPMS display.......nope not my tires. It was the trailer of the 18 wheeler. I slowed down so he could finish his passing me. I figured he would head for the shoulder right away, but no, he kept going and got off at the next exit which was maybe less than a mile away. All the while, tire pieces are being spread along the road. I was thankful the blown tire was not right beside my TT when it let loose. Not only was it 50 feet behind me, but it was the one on the LHS of his trailer.

I have had that happen to me also. I spent over an hour cleaning the black rubber marks from my truck and trailer, but no damage.
