Top bunk weight rating - has yours failed?

There's a sticker next to the top bunk of our 28DSBH that shows a weight rating of 600lbs. As my kids combined only weight 80 lbs, there's no need to worry.

But the Quality Assurance side of me wonders how a double bunk top can hold that much weight.

As I'm not willing to recreate the Jayco roof weight test, has anyone encountered damage ie bending, cracking, etc from having too much weight in the top bunk?

Quite frankly 600lbs seems deceptively strong for the appearance.

My two boys (combined weight 180) have been on top with no problems.

You will be fine. We have had my nephews in ours they are pushing 200 and no problems. A little short for them but no problems.
