towing mirrors

Any feedback on these? I have the clip ons, but have been considering taking out a second mortgage and getting these. K Source Custom Towing Mirrors for GMC Sierra 2004 - KS62075-76G

The price is a bit staggering but I wish they made them for my Explorer.

I had a set of CIPA mirrors on my 2007 F150 and I see they make them for the 2004 GMC:

Between the price and installation hassle, I chose to stick with the clip-ons. Check out one of the YouTube videos of the installation process before buying. That being said, these will give you better rearwards visibility.

These look very similar to mirrors that are now available for the1st generation Expeditions.
The only negative thing I would say is in March they were selling for about $230.00 for the pair and now they are over $400.00. I wonder if the same applies to the mirrors for the GMC models

I have the K-Source's on my 2500HD and love them. The previous owner installed them and they provide a nice, tall, shake-free view and the remote head is a plus. I had a pair of CIPA's for my 1500 and they were a good for the price but they the mirror on them was a bit small and a bit shaky. Replacing side mirrors on a GM (even the DW's new Explorer) is very easy...it just requires you to remove a trim cover, 3 nuts and the electrical connector. I'd check prices on Rock Auto (listing for $127-148 each there), Amazon or eBay for better prices but if they are in your budget, I'd highly recommend them.

Well, just to compare apples and apples, these (and my stock ones) are heated ,power and have turn signals built in....that said, boy what a price difference when you look around. Makes me wonder if the firestone air bags and compressor I just ordered from e-trailer was a good deal. http://www.amazon.com/Fit-System-620.../dp/B002MEHFVO

I looked at these mirrors for my 2500HD. Just for giggles I called the GM dealer I purchased the truck at. I gave the parts department my VIN on the truck and was told the mirrors would not work even though i currently have power and heated mirriors. Said something with the wire harness wasn't compatible. I decided to stick with the clip ons. They are molded for my OEM mirrors.

I know that these are a different level than what you are looking at, but I have them and they made a world of difference for me on our previous TV. They attach easily and dont need to be fiddled with everytime you put them on.

or they also have these, which I have not explored, but same style.

I purchased a set for my 06 Chevy 2500 and it took 45 minutes to install both,it's pretty easy.I got power, heated but with the yellow LED blinker on the outside of the housing, they were a little cheaper than the ones with the blinker in the mirror.I got mine from 1A Auto.

Camping Couple, dealers are not the brightest when trying to get info,i got the same story from them about mine but the harness was exactly the same and I had no issues, however if you have just power mirrors with no heat or blinker and buy ones with them it wont work, you will need to have the BCM reprogrammed.
