4 foot across the rear bumper for left to right and we have a level mounted at the nose for front to back.
Seems to work, we figure as long as the doors aren't swinging on their own we're good.

I use a 3' level I keep in my TT. First I do side to side before I unhook in case I need to raise either side. Then after I unhook I do front to back with tongue jack. I just put it inside the front door on the floor so I can easily read it while standing outside

Personally some side to side uneveness does not bother us. Front to back is easy to adjust with the tongue jack.
Even thought I have a 3' level for the floor, I also have 2 small bubble levels that are made to stick on the outside. However I'm not sure of the best method to apply them (2" peel & stick I think).
Should I level it best I can with my 3' ... then stick them on and try to keep them level best I can with my hands while applying???
Thanks for any input

I put a level in front of the refrigerator, when that's good, I'm good to go.

Yes, that's how I did mine. I used a couple sheet metal screws with plumbers putty around the screw heads just to seal well. The tape on the backside acts as a gasket too.

I use the same method except with a small pocket level (about 8-9") on the A-frame.

Thanks for all the good info, so many different methods but all pretty similar. I guess what has "scared" me the most is the owners manual makes it sound like if it isn't perfectly level all the way around you will totally destroy the slide outs and your fridge will never be more then a degree off ambient temp. Thanks for making my perfectionist self relax a little on this whole "perfectly" level thing!!

Yes, they have to post all the warnings to cover any issues that may come up.

Our old trailer was short and rode about 4" high up front. Yes, we were one of 'those' people you see on the road. Frequently I'd not unhook for the night and we'd sleep that way. Yep, like being on a big recliner

As someone else noted, the refer can be out of level by quite a bit and still work just fine.

I got the trailer on a level pad (checked with 4ft levels) and then leveled the trailer. I checked inside several places on the floor and refer. Another check I do is door frames. Check to make sure the door is still centered in the frame. If you have a couple of doors that makes a better check than levels in many cases. Also check to see of the doors will stay in one place. Open 45 deg. If they start to open more or close then the frame isn't level.

As far as comfort, my 'picky' place is the shower floor. If it is tilted back too far the water won't drain.

I use the side of the trailer for right to left and floor in cargo area for front to back.
