Trouble Shooting Florescent Ballast

The question is how do you check a 12 volt florescent ceiling light ballast? I have installed tubes that that work in another light. It is a 2 tube 16 watt fixture with both a wall switch and one on the light. Any info is appreciated.

The best test for any ballast is a known good lamp. I don't mean a new lamp, I mean a known good one.

Make sure you have power to the ballast and put a lamp from another fixture that was working in the fixture in question. If it doesn't work you have a bad ballast.
