Back in the '20s and '30s, when camping was just becoming popular, the first wheeled campers were mostly teardrops, with only a bed and a galley. Some folks referred to this type of activity as "tin can tourism". And Model T Fords (like our 1923 Ford Touring car) were referred to as "tin lizzies". Then there's a very old joke about Model Ts - something about what time is it when one Model T passes another Model T ? It's "Tin past Tin", of course. So . . . . . our 5er is Tin past Tin. Kinda corny, but we like corn, too.

Our first pop-up was named "Tipper" after a SPUT on our first outing led to my wife becoming a pop-up rodeo champion. When we upgraded last year to the TT, we named it "Big Tipper". No more crazy antics though.
It's pulled by "Eddie", our Eddie Bauer Edition Expedition. Occasionally joined by "Big Red Van", my wife's Grand Caravan named by our then three year old son.

Recently, we visited the campsite of friends who bought our old camper and they have named it "The Love Shack". I didn't ask why.

It seems like most folks name their campers. Is that so?
I bought our TT last June when we were evacuated due to the fires here in SE AZ. Hotel hopping and the last one at Motel 6, I drove to the local RV dealership and shopped for the now "Moving Target".
Property was unscathed and found a love for camping!! Who would have thunk. :hihi:

It's been on each unit we've owned, now on the MH, "ROAM SWEET HOME".

At home we typically call it the trailer. While camping it is the cabin. A friend was over this week and he called it the White House. I kind a liked it. We will see if it will stick.

We call ours the "Rain Goddess" as it seems like it always starts to pour right after we park.
