I have a 2006 travel trailer. I was able to get TV all last year(even if it was only 5 channels) This spring we went up and hooked up my TV and no signal at all. Talked to one of the neighbors and they said they needed to get a converter box now. Do I need one ? I have a digital TV one year old. I have the trailer plugged in to electric, but I did not put the battery back in. Do I need that in to get signal for the antenna? It is really frustrating. Can anyone give me any ideas.

A digital tv should pick up over the air digital signals fine but you will need 12vdc to power the rf amplifier and make sure it is on.

Set the tv menu option for tv and scan for channels each time you move the antenna direction.
