Typical Charge for Wash/Wax?

Yeah...Yeah... I know it's cheaper to do it ourselves, but that's not what I'm looking for here

We usually wash our tt on our own, then pay for someone to wax it, but we currently feel incredibly lazy! This time while camping, we decided to pay someone to wash/wax/treat the roof/clean awning for $8 a foot. Our tt is 29' so it should've cost $232 but we talked the guy down to $210.

Just wunderin' - for those that pay for wash/wax, what is the going rate? Thanks

Good price! I've been quoted more than that for my 32ft Motorhome. Quite a bit more.

We paid $100 to get our Montana 5th wheel washed. Top, sides, tires were $3 per foot. They wanted $5 per foot for wash and wax. That is in Parker Az.

I passed on it... glad I did my neighbor had it done what a mess they made of his rig... they said they would come back and fix it... been a month now and not seen the guy... Last I heard he was at Q doing rigs...

Seann, there are several here in Parker washing trailers. The one that has been here for years is the one I used. They are in Lake Havasu City the name is Arizona Reflections. They have the same crew from year to year and I would guess they will be around for a while. They are mobile.

I was in Yuma last year and had my Jayco 325BHS washed and waxed on site for 100 bucks. They did a super job. I did not make it there this year so it looks like I am on my own come spring. I don't like heights so am not looking forward to doing my roof.

There is a product called Gel Gloss RV Wash and Wax it is a very thick orange goo that you add to the wash water... does one heck of a job.. used it on my last TT and will use it on this one too... really just did not feel like doing it myself but after seeing the job Tom's Mobile wash did... I will do it myself..

Wow, sounds like Az has some good prices. We are tentatively planning on going to Lk Havasu next month but not certain of our plans at the moment. It would be nice to get a low price by a reputable company.

Healthi, they are based in Lake Havasu City. Arizona Reflections should be in the phone book.

I usually wash our trailer twice a year. The 5th wheel was so tall and a pia to wash that we hired it done to trade it off. I will wash and wax this one.

I don't know why they quoted us so high, but the same company said $300 wash/wax and additional $165 for roof treatment! He said for the rest of this month, they are running a special and would do it all for $400! That's almost $14 a foot (and our tt is smaller than yours). I just thanked him and hung up. So how did you get such a deal?

I just had them wash it. It was 32ft long and they washed the roof and body of the trailer. They also used tire shine and made the black paint real shinny, and the black streaks were taken care of. Total cost was $100. We didn't get any roof treatment and they did not wax it.

One of their trucks has been here in the park for the last two days washing/waxing trailers and motorhomes. They did a neighbors motorhome for $120. Just a wash and it was 40ft.

At first glance $400 seems high to me as well to pay someone to do it. But when I start thinking when I do my trailer I start with the roof wash it twice with UV cleaner, wash the black streaks off then wash the entire trailer, wash windows, then scrub the tires and apply tire shine, then wax the entire trailer I just invested 8 hours that I could have been doing something else on my Saturday. I may look into this as well.

Wow, I hope the mobile guys in Yuma don't get to read these posts or a lot of us could be broke real fast. 400 bucks?!?! I paid 100 for wash, wax, tire coating and the roof. There were 4 of them and completed the job in about an hour, and I have a big 5th wheel. The phone book is loaded with mobile washers, but I got mine from a sign at the side of the road at Los Amigos in Yuma.

Alright, we are now clean, waxed, and treated!!! The tt that is

It took two hours for a crew of three to wash & wax tt, clean awning, wheels/tires, and wash/treat roof for the quoted $210. They said when we return back to this c/g next year they will do the same job for same price if we like. We were satisfied with the outcome.
