We replaced most of our shades with mini blinds. We leave the blinds up over the road because they hang free and bang around a lot down the road if left down. They are down most of the time when parked.
We prefer the blinds because you can angle them to block the sun, yet still see out and have the breeze blow through.

Our previous trailer had mini blinds and we always kept them up when traveling so they didnt rub against the walls. Our new Jayco has pleated shades and we plan to always keep them down when traveling due to the tension lines.

We keep out pleated shades down and sandwich a blowup alien figure in the window. Gives all the cars that pass us something interesting to look at.

Our mini-blinds over the sink are up and that allows me to check on the fridge at gas stops.

Down, except for the one over the dinette that rubs the table. Leave 1 inch at the bottom so it doesn't rub on the table.

Always down when in storage or traveling to stop the fabric fade.

Up or Down?

Always down in storage. Traveling. All down except for the dinette open 6 inches so I can see fridge lights.
