Using an Ipod with stock sound system

I have a 2010 Jayco X23B with the "stock" sound system. It says that you can connect an ipod through a USB connection but I have not been able to get it to work. Is there any trick/setting or something else that one must do to listen to an ipod thourgh the sound system's speakers?

Thanks

Don't know if we have the same 'stock' sound system but we have to cycle thru the inputs until USB is indicated on the display.

Yes, you need to cycle through inputs.

Also you can use the headphone jack as an input to the AUX connetion. I use my shuffle that way sometimes.

Thanks. I will try the headphone jack to aux connection. When I tried the USB input I did cycle through but it didn't work. I like the aux idea though and I know I have one of those connectors.

There also is a specific Ipod 8 pin connection wire in the rear of the AWM970 unit that you need to buy a wire from Jensen for if your unit is compatitble.
Check your model before buying it though as it only supports older Ipod's mostly. Prior to 2008 mostly. Other problem is having to remove the unit to access it unless you can another way.

If you use the USB connection try to control the unit through the TV/monitor.

Check the manual for more specifics on the interfacing. You can watch videos through some connections should you have them on your Ipod.

I use the AUX jack for my iPod and for the TV. Just switch the wire at the input and it works great. It's good at night too because the 2nd speaker is right above the sofa so I don't have to crank the TV loud to hear it well.

Mine is a 2010 g2 29bhs with the Jensen. That model doesn't support a lot of the new iPods and iPhones. The new Jensen with the hdmi output now supports newer iPods. I just use the aux jack as mentioned above.
