Walmarts w/RV Sections

My local Wally World doesn't have one, and trying to call around to others relatively nearby, either no one answers the phone or I get disconnected while they try to transfer me to someone who may know.

Soooo....

Is there a listing somewhere online that tells which ones do?

Thanks,

B

I dont know if there is a list of stores that sell rv stuff, but I do know you can go to wal-mart.,com, that lists all walmart items, and purchase any item and have it delivered to your local walmart at N/C.

Most of the WM's here in Southern California are not Super WM's. Our local WM is smaller than the one 25 miles away. Our local WM has a very small selection of rv supplies. The one further away does have a few more things. When traveling, we have found a much better selection of rv supplies at the Super WM's.

We shopped WM online once and had a good experience with their "site to store" delivery

Turns out my WallyWorld has a few feet of shelf space for RV stuff. I haven't emptied my wallet that fast since the last time I was in Vegas!

The Walmarts around my area have really scaled back on the RV section. While it was never big, it is now about 1/3rd the size.

The recent Walmart makeovers have cut out alot of items and selection. They were better when they hypenated (Wal-Mart) their name. I think their profits were better then too!

Thumbs down "Wally World's" RV section

The last time we needed RV TP, my wife bought it at our local Wally World Superstore. After bringing it home, she noticed that it was made in China. We returned it to the store and on our next campout bought a package at the campground's store that was made here in the good old US of A. I didn't even care that it cost more... it was the principle of the thing.

I'll bet Sam Walton is rolling in his grave over how his stores have changed from mostly USA made to foreign.

I have also noticed that my Wal-Mart's selection is really gotten small. I only use them in a pinch. Mine has TP, some chems, small wheel chocks, outdoor rug, extension cord, and maybe and adapter or two....not much more....

I have to say that in my opinion the best prices and selection on many basic stock RV items is Amazon.com. I pay the extra for prime membership and get everything in 2 days (no minimum purchase shipped free), or I can pay $3 and get it the next day. I have even used it while camping and had it delivered to the campground. They stock a large number of Camco items.

For my TT, I bought a set of awning clamps (to eliminate flapping noise in strong wind) from my local WM/KM type store. They were actually BETTER design and lower cost compared to my local RV dealer. Thus, I would recommend people know their products and know their prices - before buying for any store...

A lot of shelf space in Walmart is seasonal. In a lot of states they don't move much RV product when everyone is snowed in.

My local WM had a pretty nice selection of parts. They had the camco vent convers for $19 each which is a great deal from what I have seen.

I just bought a directory of all Walmart Stores from google for $6.95. It has a listing of over 4000, with indicators as to which ones allow and don't allow. They also have a web site on line. Search Walmart Atlas and I believe the web site tells you those that do not allow overnight parking.

I too have bought most of my RV supplies through amazon.com; they have a large selection at great prices and most of the items ship for free.

There are 3 Walmarts within a 30 mile radius in our area. The one with the smallest RV section in the store is a Super Walmart. The other two have downsized the section as other have noted. Te Kittery Trading Post in Maine has a small RV section which I check out whenever we are passing through. I contacted Bass Pro Shop to see if they had any plans on adding a RV section in their stores. They are looking into it. I do not remember an RV section in the Carbellas, but they did have a great RV parking area in the rear of the store in Maine.

There's a fairly new Walmart about 15 miles west of Colorado Springs, that was built partially to take pressure off one of the in-town stores as well as to serve the local community. It happens to be on a very heavily traveled highway into the mountains, and hoards of RVs pass it every weekend, so if any of their stores should have RV supplies you'd think it would be this one. And for that store, which seems to have had trouble in the stocking area from Day One, it's not a bad selection of the typical supplies, like drinking water hose, water pressure regulators, chemicals. But in the hitch area I've not found any heavy duty balls or ball mounts or pins, mostly for the lighter campers. And I'd feel safe in saying just about the only things made in the USA in that store, or any of them for that matter, are the help. Didn't Sam Walton pride himself on selling American made products, or is my memory fading?

The directory from Walmart Stores sounds brilliant to me and $6.95 is reasonable also. Thanks rog4kneer!

CEKKK+, you are correct. I sometimes think that WallMart is a Chineese company.
