water heater operation
Hello all. Just took the new 26BH on the maiden voyage and could not get the hot water heater to operate on electric - worked fine on propane. I cycled it according to the instructions, but no luck. I am sure I am doing somethign wrong. Any thougths?

When in electric mode, does the light come on at the control panel?
Checked fuses/breakers? Plugged into shore power?

Don't know if you have a electric fireplace but if you do check the switch, the fireplace and hot water heater cannot be used at the same time. The switch will have to be in the hot water side for you to get hot water. Leter Ernie

Did you have your trailer plugged into shore power when trying water heater on electric? It doesn't work off the battery.

Check with the dealer.... if they are close just drop in .. dont even take the Trailer they can show you on another one or you can show them what you are doing..
also try flipping all the breakers off and back on sometimes a blown breaker does not always move to the off position
the switch is a 12 volt that moves a solenoid the light means it is turned on I can make mine come on when not on shore power..

Check for a switch outside on the water heater itself. Mine has one that I forgot about.

The heating element may need to be replaced inside the tank

Thanks all, will check in to it more and give your suggestions a try. It is a brand new trailer and the water heater is entirely automatic and worked on propane, so I think I will hit all the breakers, and if that does not work there is a local dealer I can swing by.

Currious. The 330RLTS has the fireplace and water heater on separate 110v circuits. I would think the 33RLDS would be wired the same way.

Lady Fitz, my trailer is 30 amp, next to the sink there is a switch that in the middle is off, up is water heater, and down is fireplace, if I remember right they both go thru the same circuit breaker which is 20 amp, circuit breaker is not big enough for both the water heater and fireplace together. Maybe the 330rlts is a 50 amp circuit. Don't really know, maybe the people with the 330rlts could chime in. Later Ernie

Internally, the 330RLTS is wired for a 50 amp service but the socket and cord is 30 amp (strange that; the fivers come with a 50 amp cord and socket). When I order my unit, I'm going to try to talk them into upgrading the socket and cord to 50 amp. Otherwise, I'll be changing that out in short order. The fireplace breaker is on leg #1 of the 50 amp main and the water heater is on leg #2 of the 50 amp main.

My 330 rlts is 50 amp. I thought 50 amp was standard for the 330 rlts, but not sure. I was specific about having the 50 amp service when ordering but I also ordered my RV with the two A\C's which may be why it is 50 amp. Anyway I'm sure you can get it with 50 amp service because mine is.

A 50 amp service is standard on the 330RLTS but, for some really strange reason, it is wired for a 30A socket cord. Strange, that.

I am having a similar issue with a 23b (no fireplace), is there a fuse somewhere? Is the switch the circuit breaker? Or is that somewhere else? Thanks in advance.

Mine didn't work either. Took it to the dealer and they said it was wired incorrectly. They switched a couple of wires and it works fine now. I tried what everyone suggeested but finally surrendered to the dealer.
