Water Softener Media

I went to the local Habitat For Humanity resale shop (in Sebring Florida) and located a newer poly-glass pressure vessel for $5. It can be used for either water filtration of softening; since I recently upgraded my water filtration device, I figured I would use this tank for water softening. According to some figures I found on-line, my tank (19" tall by 6" wide) would require .20 cubic feet of media. First off, I'm having a difficult time finding replacement media locally. When I do find it, they only sell in bulk.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can find this media in smaller quantities? The smallest I found is from here: http://www.discoun****ersofteners.co...ner-resin.html
I need half this amount. Thanks in advance...
