Weigh stations in Alberta

So only new to towing trailers here in Canada, and noticed a TV and TT following the semi's into the weigh station! I have a 26bh and 1500 Sierra and would come close to the 4.5 ton limit that they request you weigh in for. Is it a requirement to weigh in? Most times I just blow straight past and the fact they don't chase me I guess there is no need!

Not sure how are things in Alberta, but I read that in Quebec the weighing is not a requirement for personal use vehicles

Personal recreational vehicles in Alberta are exempt from being weighed in Alberta. Ryan

May have been one being delivered, they may have different requirements depending on the state/province.
