July 9-15th we'll be at Pirate Land. I've heard that there are several very nice campgrounds in MB. This will be our first time there so I sat down with the kids and we just picked PirateLand.

Looks like we will be the week behind you. Pirateland is right next door to Lakewood. We have never stayed there, but it is one of the three most popular along with Lakewood and Ocean Lakes. Your family will have a great time there!
Thanks, we're really looking forward to it. On the way back we're making a stop in Hershey, just to break up the trip home. I've been getting ready since the beginning of January, can't wait!

Is this the one that you bought? I saw it at Costco and thought it was really slick and wondered how well it lit up at night? I suppose it would be 2 D-Cell's per panel?
Karl, this is the one I bought. We recently used it when our power went out due to the bad storms/tornadoes couple weeks ago. It takes 8 D batteries! It has 580 Lumens & I love it and decided to splurge even though batteries cost a fortune.
Golf carts are bad down there, no doubt about that. But they are so convenient. It's the lack of enforcement thats the problem. Adults that use them are just fine, it's the kids that have no business being on them that cause the problems, plus the campgrounds not enforcing the rules on them.
