Get ready for Polar Vortex ll. This one is supposed to hang around for at least a week and it looks like the southwest gets sparred again. It's only the middle of winter and I'm sick of it already.

-5 here in the southern part of the mitten. About -15 with wind chill. Supposed to be partly sunny & 12 tomorrow. We' re in hibernation mode for the moment. Weather experts are saying it's caused by another polar vortex sending cold stuff down from Canada. Here in Michigan, we just call it winter being winter, lol!

4 degrees in central Jersey. 12-14 inches of snow fell last night.

We're accustomed to winter and raw weather, but not this bitter cold stuff. The polar vortex can go back home thank you very much.

-2 this morning with a high of 23 today. Me made it to a whopping 18 yesterday. My camper and motorcycle are lonely. Both are plugged in like they are on life support.

Here in the Yukon, probably the warmest January on record. So warm that kids were playing outside at lunch with their coats off! And it reported that some people saw lightening. Crazy...

My water froze up last night, the first time since I bought this place 30 years ago. Some heat on the pipes above the pump and I was back in business.
