27 degrees with mixed rain and sleet. Headed to Inks lake in the morning. Can't wait even in the cold.

We camped last week in the cold. 30 here this morning and more of the same predicted. However we are not complaining, we have a warm home and a warm heart.

Waiting a few more weeks to head to Florida.

My natural gas bill has gone where it has never gone before....$$$$. 10 inches of ice on our lake. I could drive my car across it, but I won't. 3* here now, but watch out, next week even colder.

Hope you got out okay, it was pretty nasty out there last night and into this morning! I'd like to visit Inks. It's been on my list for a while but haven't had a chance yet...

This is the coldest winter I have seen since I started full timing in 2010. I did see 13F at night a couple of times during 2010, but this past week I saw 9F one night and this morning 8F. I am warm and cozy and use a 150 gallon external propane tank when on my winter home base. Oh, my interior temp is now 72F. I turn the thermostat down at night.

I keep my fresh water tank full, 87 gallons, and top it off when needed during the day. Tomorrow I can hook it back up for about a week according to the forecast.

I am ready for spring however.
