Wheel psi rating

Hello all,

I'm trying to determine if I can upgrade from Rainier D load range tires to the GY Endurance E load range tires. My steel wheels do not have a psi rating on them. They do have a load range on them that is for 2830" per wheel. That load range is a value for E load range tires. With 2830 being the load range can I assume they are rated to 80psi"

I would say that is a safe bet. I went from a load C to a load E on my 12" rims wi r h no problem (so far). That's taking a C load max of 65 psi to an E load max of 80 psi.

Your assumption should be correct. Sometimes the rim rating is stated in #
per wheel. Sometimes it's stated in PSI.

My OEM rims are Tredit brand, Model A1411. They have a load capacity of 2150# which equals the 65 psi rating of the Endurance LRD tires.
