I just reserved at Mama Gertie's for October. Never been before. I hope it's as great as it looks and the reviews I've seen online.

I arrived at Potholes State Park yesterday afternoon, south of Moses Lake, WA for a two day stay. It's a very nice park, with well manicured grounds, and a row of Lombardy poplars on the west side of my TT that block the late afternoon sun.

Clio's Rivers Edge RV Park

Decision made!

After a short discussion over a nice dinner at a local Reno casino the other night we will be heading to Clio, CA next Sunday August 21, for a 5 night stay on the Feather River near Graeagle, CA.

We were thinking going over the hill to the Lodi area (49' elevation) but the forecast is for continued HOT weather so...we go up in the Sierra's where it usually is a little cooler.

From the Clio Rivers Edge website;

Quote:
Welcome to Clio’s Rivers Edge RV Park, a northern California premier-destination RV park. We are located in the beautiful Sierras 2 miles from Historic Graeagle. We are just 1 hour from Reno Nevada, 45 minutes from Truckee and 2 hours from the Sacramento area, which makes us an easy choice for an affordable getaway for the whole family.

Nestled along the Feather River at 4,400'+ among towering pine trees, our well-maintained RV Park offers our guests a quiet place to relax, or a base camp for outdoor adventures. Come golf, fish & relax!

Clean, paved, full-hookup sites

100 lakes, and 1000 miles of fishing streams

6 outstanding golf courses just minutes from the park

Fine dining and quaint gift shops just a few miles away

Discover the Plumas and Tahoe National Forests, and the Sierra Buttes, an area reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.

McKinney Campground, on Lake Allatoona in Acworth GA.
It's a ACOE facility and about 20 minutes from home.
We reserved a nice spot that backs up to the lake, finally going to get a good view out of that big window in the back of our 28RLS.

Where are you camping this weekend?

We have tomorrow and Friday off to make a long weekend. Headed up tomorrow morning for our annual trip to Button Bay State Park in Vergennes, VT which is on Lake Champlain. This is one of our favorite state parks in VT, there are no hook ups, but they have a large playground and a large "L" shaped pool complete with a water slide and water jets at the shallow end. The nature trail take you out to the nature center and to the point which has very nice views. Below are a couple of pictures from last year at this time.

View of Lake Champlain looking south from between sites 50 & 52:

View of Lake Champlain looking west at the Adirondack Mountains from the point:

And for the kids (and big kids [emoji4]):

Cheers!!
