Going boondocking in California City, north of Mojave. Middle of the California desert in August...

Hoping for a good meteor shower!

We were there back in June and have plans to go again the first weekend of October. This campground is one of our favorites in the area.

We try to get there each year. The kids really like it and so do my wife and I. Very well kept place and very clean.

Up at Lake Winnipeg, which will seem like such a short trip (1.5 hours) compared to the big trip out west that just got back from!

Looking forward to it...

Well.... We had reservations to be at Woodford State Park in Woodford, VT this weekend, however, we just cancelled due to the weather coming in for the weekend. Supposed to be hot, very humid and rain/thunderstorms all 3 days. With no hook ups and 2 extra kids with us, it would have been pretty interesting if we went. We had not been there in over 10 years and was looking forward to it, but it's probably best to stay home. We have been camping almost every weekend since Memorial Day weekend anyway. We have a 4 day, 3 night camping trip planned for next weekend, Thursday through Sunday at Button Bay State Park in Vergennes, VT on Lake Champlain. Looking forward to that.

Cheers!

Just pulled in to my spot in the public fishing area near the dam at Banks Lake, central WA. It should be interesting the next few days- it's going to be around 95 and sunny, and I won't have air conditioning. However, the lake is very close and I might just jump in to cool off.

We stayed there for the first time in July, site 118. This is a great remote campground with full hookups.

Merrill at Eagle Lake is still one of our favorites...anywhere. We like site #108 or #110 for the best satellite view. Have to keep the wife happy.

This trip, as usual, went by like the snap of your fingers. The nice thing is that we'll be back.
