Where has the summer gone?

So far I have camped 51 nights and met some great people and some to stay away from, kids are going back to school tomorrow and the campground closes in 5 weeks, this is our first year seasonal and we have had a blast, a little drama but that's the way it goes when some adults act like they are in grade 7

51 nights is pretty good. What area is your seasonal? There are a lot of nice areas in the SE part of MN.

I think we did 30 nights so far, we have a few more trips planned before the snow sets in. We would have been out more but, business trips and painting the exterior of the house just got in the way.

Still plenty of GOOD camping season left. Fall is the best time of year for it IMO.

Yep, best camping just getting started here in Ohio
Especially if you're able to go during the week.

Hocking Hills will be next on our list.

I have to admit this year has flown by!!!!!

But ya know, I don't know if it's just me, but it seems that the past couple of years I have noticed more riff-raff in campgrounds lately.

Granted we camp in state parks for the most part, but it just seems different somehow.

Last year there was actually someone that tried to commit suicide in their tent, of all places! This year over Memorial week-end, my neice came to visit us and she no sooner gets out of her car and comments about the marijuana smell! I've also heard where homelss people are now frequenting campgrounds. We saw a tent where it looked like they had 3 weeks of clothes hanging on a clothesline!!

Like I say...... maybe it's just me...

This is the first year in the last ten years that we have spent more nights in our house than in the camper. Health issues are improving and we will be heading out in two or three weeks. Looking forward to six or seven months in the trailer.

I got some fruit tree leaves falling already... Seems a bit early... Hoping for a better camping year for us next season.. Still working to get over this so called sequestration thing we are having... I at least got to think about several of my off-road mods I want to get started on so all was not lost this camping season... Was out stargazing late into the cool night last night and find the stars are all where they are suppose to be... I'm guessing we are recovering just fine from our close encounter with the center of our universe on Dec 21st... It will take a few years to get a few more degrees away from it to get our Earth's weather picture back to some normal nature again. Some say this is all related hehe...
