In Canada we have a long weekend.. I'm not sure if it the same in the USA?
I am wondering where people are heading and what their plans are?
We are heading to a Campground on Lake Winnipeg..
It's technically an Island.. so it is called Helcla Island.. It was settled by Islandic fishermen and families at the turn of the century. This will be our first time out with the new trailer.. now affectionately named "The Nest".. so we will likely be learning our new systems and working the kinks out. We will do some fishing, and maybe some biking if we can fit them all into our truck.
How about you..?
Next weekend is Memorial Day weekend in the US. We were going to try and get in a trip this weekend too, but won't be able to make it. Going to Gatlinburg next weekend - in the Smokey Mountains in East Tennessee. I'm taking an extra day of vacation as well to really stretch it out.

That sounds nice.. We camped in Branson Missouri two summers ago.. unfortunately that was during a record heat wave. We also went to Hot Springs Arkansas which had a really beautiful campground called Lake Katherine or something like that.. I am thinking the Smokey mountains are a little more south?
I'm heading out to be the camp host at Smith Mountain Lake State Park in Virginia for the month of June. Looking forward to meeting fellow campers and fishing, boating and having fun.

I am taking the family to Ives Run which is a Army Corp of Enginneers lake/campground near Tioga, PA. We will be there this weekend in site 10 and then next weekend in site 8. Both are right next to the playground for the kids. This weekend will be our first trip out with the new camper. We loaded it up last night and are ready to head out this afternoon.

We are heading into the USA to Four Mile Creek State Park about 20 minutes north of Niagara Falls, on Lake Ontario. Close to home, but far enough away!

As mentioned before, next weekend is the "unofficial start of summer" here in the US at which time we'll be heading a little north to Copake, NY. Haven't been there as of yet so it's an unknown adventure.

I will be at St. Andrews State Park, Panama City Beach, FL. I am hosting here this summer and have been here for 4 weeks already. I don't leave until Labor Day in early September. It is going to be a hot summer however.
We went camping last weekend at Natural Bridge VA While out we saw about 12 rvs all alike pull into the campground. They were all rentals from Canada. The campers were all from Australia. The campers flew in and are traveling with a guide sightseeing.
We will be going to my inlaws property between port Huron, MI an Lexington. It is like a family get together. They have 35 acres and we all have campers. It is a lot of fun there.
