Where to buy an extra battery in Canada?
Still a couple weeks out from picking up my new 26BH and I am already planning to buy an extra battery. Any suggestions to where I should look, and what kind to go for? I'm assuming the ones at Canadian Tire are overpriced?

Just have the dealer do it so they are a very close match in manufacture date. That's what I did. I think I paid for only half the value of the battery.

I bought one for my last trailer from Canadian Tire. It was fine but I only had it for a season before I sold trailer and battery.

The new battery needs to be the same MFR/MODEL/AH rating as the one that comes with your TT. You will need to contact the dealer and ask what the MFR/Model/Ah and the mfr date( should be within 30days of each other) is of the battery they are installing in the TT.. If they give you and static, tell them to log on to the MFR home page and get the date information code. Interstate burns the date into the side of the battery.

I agree with everything Don just said.. and personally stay far far away from Crappy Tire... Last year when I had to replace mine (8+ years old) I got my best quote then went to my RV dealer showed him the quote and said if you can match the price I would rather buy from you... He gave me an even better price...

Not saying that Crappy Tire is over priced, but from someone who works in the industry. batteries have gone up in price this year.about 30% for us, this is the case with our supplier at the shop i work. mind you it is a mechanic shop. but do shop around and make sure you compare apples to apples. if you don't know exactly what your pricing you could be pricing 2 different batteries and not even know it

I have bought 3 rv batteries since 2005, at Costco, Kirkland brand, just replaced the 2005, still have one from 2008 working with the 2015. We were in Nfld when we replaced the 2005 last summer. The gave a refund for the carcass. When I did the research their brand was made by a known reputable manufacturer, just can't remember the name. Like everything else, there are few producers and they all seem to be owned by a large conglomerate. I think the 2015 was under $100.00 less the refund for the dead one.

Give the store a call... last month the store in Clearwater (FL) had both their brand and the Interstate brand... as they were phasing out their brand... so they said

I am not a fan of the Interstate Marine batteries that come with our trailers. They are fine to power your emergency breakaway switch but if you are doing any dry camping they are inadequate. If you are going to need the extra Amp Hours for dry camping, you may wish to sell your brand new Interstate for whatever you can get for it and get a couple of 6v true deep cycle golf cart batteries (Costco in Canada usually sells them) which will give you considerably more jolt for your buck.
