We purchased used from a local seller. The floor plan worked for what we needed and the Jayco reputation lead us to the seller. Been camping in it for 3 years now and loved every minute of it.

Why did I buy a Jayco? Very simple, to go camping.

Because I wanted to root out the REAL truth about Jayco and their seemingly "fanatic" fan base as total "cowpoop" artists. No RV manufacturer could possibly deserve all this notoriety.

I failed miserably!!!!

Actually had my heart set on another brand at first. But I wimped out making a cross country trip to go pick it up in Michigan, sight unseen within a 7 day window that was rapidly closing, so we went with our plan B. No regrets with the Jayco.

Truth be told, if we had more options for different brands in this area, I almost certainly would have gone with something else. We weren't comfortable buying out of state so that was a bigger factor than brand loyalty.

I wanted to be a member of this great forum and no one told me you didn't have to buy a Jayco to join.

It was on the lot.
It was priced better than the competition.
It just felt right.

Still does.

I did a lot of research on different brands. In my price range (entry level), Jayco just seemed to be above the rest. The two year warranty was big for me. I decided on the Jay Flight SLX 264BHW because of the layout, weight, and price. I liked that the SLX models had the same structure as the non-SLX models. I don't need all the fancy stuff. I just need it to be functional.

The Jayco T31b was the only toy hauler I could find that had the weight, height and width capacity to haul my Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT. I didn't want to get a gigantic fifth wheel so the T31b was the only moderately sized trailer I could find that would work with my toy.

I have zero brand loyalty.

I found a TT that had ALL the amenities I wanted, almost nothing I didn't and a floorplan that we could live with.

It just happened to be built by Jayco.

I should add that the unit we wanted was way out west, and we did not want to buy that way. We would have gone for an Outdoors RV Creekside or a Northwoods Manufacturing product had they been available way down yonder in our patch of the USA.

I wanted to move up from a Class C to a Class A for more storage and additional options. After doing tons of research I decided to go with Jayco because of:
1) 2 year warranty and Jayco's good reputation
2) Floor plan and available options
3) Price
4) Most bang for the buck
5) JOF feedback and too many negative reviews of other manufacturers on other forums
