Winter Hiatus Support Group

Our last trip of the season was the weekend before Halloween. So sad. In the following days we removed all the food and clothes and gave a good cleaning inside.

Last week we brought the carpet steamer in after vacuuming. Wow, what a difference! I know the carpet is only a year old but they got a LOT of use this year. Over 100 nights, most of it at sandy/salty ocean beaches. The carpet looks so much better then it did a few weeks ago.

We did the usual cleaning of windows, ceiling vents, dusting etc....

Yesterday I took out the soap and washed the roof and then the rest of the exterior. I then took some windex to the black streaks and they came off with a simple swipe. Awesome!

So I let everything dry overnight and this morning I took out the dry spray lube and hit the steps, stab jacks, slide and WD brackets up front. To finish it off, I used the rubber conditioner spray foam on all the slide gaskets as well as the two door gaskets.

Next week we are bringing both campers in for some minor warranty stuff and then are putting them to bed for the winter. Less then 5 months until we are out camping again!

Wow!! We just winterized ours yesterday but apparently there's alot more work to be done. Ha Ha! I can feel your disappointment of putting it away for the winter. I feel the same. We enjoyed 43 nights this season and our first trip is scheduled for first weekend in March. Hey! Gotta have something to look forward to!

Ours is also winterized cleaned, food removed, laundry cleaned, and re-loaded to be delivered to its winter location on Danforth Bay in Freedom,NH November 30th. Looking forward to a great, 1st time winter season! I plan on spending a least 1 blizzard/nor-easter in the trailer!
