Made it out last Thur and now in Hot Springs Ark. 73 yesterday and staying in a nice small NP CG part of the Hot Springs NP. Enjoying stay and the nice weather but rain later today.

Elec front jack frozen when hooked up to leave on Thur. Used heat gun to thaw but must have fried the motor trying to get it freed up. Had to use ratchet to get it moving but now the motor is DOA so it will be manual for the rest of the trip. Probably will need to replace the motor. Otherwise only other mistake was I left a tote sitting in my living room at home with a lot of my "stuff" but nothing I can't live without except most of my extra hearing aid batteries and maybe spare cash. Both can be taken care of on the road.

Here another couple days and then on to places unknown???

Glad to hear that you finally got out. I no this might sound dumb but did you check the fuse on the jack.

Hot Springs to Caddo Lake SP Texas south of Texarkansa. Then to NF campground on Toledo Bend for an overnight to Brazo Bend SP. Moved to day to Quintana County CG on the beach south of Houston for a week of R n R. Generally good weather given what we left.

So far our wandering plan is working out great. Only issue so far has been my electric tongue jack went caput after freeze up the day we left home. Apparantly burned up the motor trying to free up the jack. Bummer but the manual ratchet procedure is working fine just a pain. New motor when I get home in March. The White Hawk has performed great and my mods making life easier. Inverter running the entertainment center including sat receiver and 42" tv. twin 6 volts performing well to power the inverter for 5 or 6 hours and furnace fan several nites in temps in the 20's and 30's with 80% left in the am.

Now ready to lay back for a few days.

Brazos Bend is pretty close to my house off 59\69 South. Not the most exciting park but you can fish this time of year without all the alligators stealing your catch.

Glad all is going well. Nice to be able to enjoy your trip.

P.S. They just changed the Freeway number and I am still trying to get used to it.
