I'm working on it.

Tried today and almost got it. Couldn't get the antifreeze to draw. Had the tube attached to the wrong inlet on the Greyhawk. JaycoJoe and Crabman straightened me out. I sure do appreciate this forum!

We keep our stabilizers up and we use a cover...never a tarp. Tarps cause more trouble than they prevent. They don't breathe and moisture that gets underneath stays trapped underneath. A cover will set you back a few hundred bucks but it costs less than the repairs for water related damage. It also helps maintain your roof in new condition and protects not only the roof from rain and sun damage, but protects your A/C unit and vents as well.

You could open the low point drains, drain the water heater and outside shower, and run a small electric heater on low on the few cold nights you get if you do not wish to fully winterize. That`s what I do late in the season when I still wish to do some more camping. But if you will not be using the trailer til Spring anyway its only about 8 bucks and 20 to 30 minutes of time to fully winterize. With the crazy Winters we seem to get now an extended cold snap is possible.

I voted that I do my own winterizing b/c next year that is the plan. Because I purchased the trailer and it will remain on the lot, the dealer winterized it this year.

Just wanted to contribute to the poll..

When winterizing the water system, I drain the hot water tank by opening the PT valve, and then opening the high-pressure drain on the cold side. No tools required to remove the tank drain plug, anode rod, hot rod, etc. When it's empty, I flip the bypass valves and run red-pop through the rest of the system. I've been doing this for the last 5 years and it has worked perfectly.

Do any of you drain your hot water tank this way?

I just took it to the dealer for the first winterize because it's still under warranty, once that's up, they will never see it again.

One quick question for the cold climate owners, do you guys take your flat screen television out for the winter and bring it in the house?

We took a secret poll and the results are in and unanimous. ALL MODERATORS DESERVE TO HAVE THEIR PAY DOUBLED!!! And have it doubled on the first of every month. ... UNLESS they are caught transporting earwigs.
