My previous TT was made of aluminium ..... Although it is lighter it also has it's disadvantages.... often (VERY often) I had screws falling because the vibration made them fall out of their holes...and then I would find out that well they didn't held anymore...

Plus try doing any modifications is a bit more tricky...

Isn't this discussion much like the fiberglass skin versus aluminum skin discussion?

It seems to me that different approaches have different advantages and different disadvantages. It is hard for me to see how one can say that one is clearly superior.
