Do you know why the roof was replaced? If it was for a leak is there water damage inside the walls that wasn't repaired?

That's a lot of money for a used and previously damaged trailer. If the repair was done right, I wouldn't necessarily walk away but who replaced it? If a dealer, can you talk to the dealer? Can you have a private RV Repair Tech inspect it? I suspect this was one of the Jayco's with the felt lined Alpha roofs that wicked water from the drip edges, a common issue with 2005/2006's.

Keep in mind, you can get a brand new Jayflight (2013) for 22-24K depending on options for the same floorplan from RVDirect.com and Whitehorse RV in NJ. I also quoted Terrytown in Michigan, they were the least expensive. Basically, for 8K more then the 7 year old rebuilt unit you can have new.....

It was replaced by a Jayco dealer But the dealer went out of bussiness 2 months later, his insurance paid for a new roof, we asked him to providea detail account of what was replaced and how, so monday we hope to get the answers, i was going to offer him no more than 10k but like you said new is good but not in our budget. Thank you all for helping.

Good, at 10k if it was tree induced would be a good deal. If it were due to the previous roof issues of that year I'd walk, who knows where else the water intruded.

Be sure to let us know...

Thats a big trailer if you get it for around 10 k great We paid 11k for a 29bh. Keep in mind that you will have to look it over very carfully find out were the leak was and just as you would a house press on the walls firmly and see if ther is any squishyness ( are the walls soke on the inside) look for any new or mismached wall paper and of course any staining. Wear are you from? we here in Michigan have had some snow along with warmer weather that has melted it away good time to poke around the interior also is ther any mildew oder good luck

Looks like a good rig.
I seldom buy new. There is some great deals out there used and it looks like you got one.
Congratulations on the new rig.

Best regards,
Doug

Hello We Have an Update on the 2006 eagle 314BHDS, just can't get this tt out of our minds, well we received the repair order on there tt all new plywood, LT slide removed and repaired, ac seals gaskets ,caulking, new ceiling panels ,back panel replaced, carpet cleaned, sheet metal, roof kit, rubber membrane removed and replaced new, insulation replaced, we don't think this tt was hit by a branch maybe a tree or very big branch, calling the insurance adjuster he rated the tt as good before the repair, am wondering if they inspected the tt after the repair. We might offer a low price to them it hasn't moved, such a nice eagle 314BHDS But as you all stated the water damaged to the walls who knows, just that we were looking to upgrade this year but new is not in out budget and this was going on a seasonal site. Thank You for your good advise.
